Artist Statement
I have always painted as an outlet. I like to work with rich, bold colors and brush strokes. My process is building layers upon layers of paint and letting the colors complement each other as the painting comes to life. I feel colors exude a certain energy when combined. They vibrate.
I also like to lather the paint thick to create texture and weight. It can certainly anchor a room.
As a graphic designer, I use the Pantone color system, and this has inspired many of my paintings’ beginnings. I always have a color palette in mind.
Thank you for visiting my site.
